Book Binding Workshop

with guest instructor Rebecca Rush

Saturday, June 9th

from 1:30 – 5:00 pm

$55 per person
(includes some materials)

You will learn the basics of book binding in this interesting workshop, and at the same time gain inspiration for your handmade quilted covers from Artist/Instructor Rebecca Rush!  You have seen some of her amazing handmade quilted books in our store.  Now you can come and learn from one of the best how to embellish and stitch your covers to personalize them with your own style!
Rebecca has always dabbled in some form of making art for as long as she can remember.  She is a self-taught artist, initially drawing with pen and ink and returning with watercolor to accent her drawings.
In the late 80’s, a close friend introduced her to papermaking where she would go on to create beautiful hand pulled sheets of paper to enhance her beautiful lettering. Rebecca eventually moved on to designing a line of paper art jewelry and stationery sold in shops and galleries throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, and California.

Sock Yarn Scarf Shuffle!

WWKIPD

Saturday, June 16, 2018

2:00 – 4:00

We had so much fun and such a great turnout last year for our Roulette we decided to do it again!  This year we are changing it up a bit and using a deck of cards and at the same time we are showing our support for
World Wide Knit in Public Day!
You will need approximately 1800 yds. of sock or fingering weight yarn in at least 7 different colors or more and one main color.  You will also needle a US 6 needle either straight or circular.
At Jessica Knits, we have gradients, mini-skeins, and lots of other sock yarn options for your randomly striped scarf. $5.00 reserves your spot for snacks, fun, frivolity, and knitting! So call and get your name on this list, space is limited!
