Rain is such a rarity in the desert. And though it may be only temporary, the sudden drop in temperature always begins to stir and awaken the desire to knit and crochet more (it’s not as if we stopped because of triple digit temperatures). The other day, a child in the shop asked why we already had some holiday decorations out, and I had to explain that it was because knitter’s need time to prepare their gifts and decorations. You can’t make them overnight. And on that note, we have some great holiday projects in mind for this year’s gift giving: easy cowls, unique hats, thick cozy scarves, and elegant shawls. There’s something for everyone on your list. But those gifts are not going to knit themselves. So grab your umbrella and head down to the shop. Because tomorrow the holidays will be one day closer.
